Taekwondo, which was developed in the 1940s - 1950s by Korean martial artists, has gained worldwide recognition as a sport. Interestingly, many people may not know that Taekwondo officially became an Olympic sport in Sydney 2000. This milestone marked a significant moment in the history of Taekwondo, showcasing its growth and popularity on the global stage.
